When a teacher and an artist come together...
Through teaching together, we discovered that although we have very different approaches, we share quite a bit of common ground. Nicole's background in informal education allows her to dive deep into the subject matter, play off of children's interests, and encourage learning through experience. As an artist, Raygan focuses more on exploration, thinking like an artist, and the creative process. As we grew and learned from one another, our philosophies began to merge, intersect and intertwine; and we liked it. It all just clicked. Together, we stumbled upon a one-of-a-kind learning environment that cultivates joy, growth, discovery, and creative thinking.
We had reached a place that was, well ... Wonderment.
Nicole has 20+ years of teaching experience in an arts-integrated public elementary school in Columbus, Ohio, and a privately owned art studio. She received her M.Ed in Education from The Ohio State University and develops early childhood curriculum for an online company and private school in East Hampton, New York. As an educator, her goal has always been to empower children to become independent thinkers, doers, makers, and problem solvers.
"We look forward to enjoying this process with you, as we guide the next generation of creatives."
Raygan is an entrepreneur at heart. As a former art studio owner, designer, artist, and consultant, she strives to help children fall in love with the exploratory nature and process of creating. She believes in the creative process and its power to spark joy and teach children to be more fully present and aware of the world around them.
"Wonderment is a result of our experiences teaching together in a "hands-on" art studio environment. Now, we want to share our knowledge with you and help cultivate creative thinkers."
