I'm so excited to share with you all the things I've learned and continue to learn on my journey.
When Nicole and I started teaching together, we discovered that we had very different approaches but yet common ground. Nicole’s background in informal education allowed her to be organized, well thought out and dive deeper into learning through experiencing. My way was a little more disorganized, I ran my classes through experimentation and often would change things up or come up with a new idea during the class by feeding off the students curiosity. Neither approach was right or wrong, but we both were looking for something more in what we were doing.
As we grew and learned from each other, our ways started to intersect more and more and WE LIKED IT. We discovered that this place we had come to was, well, Wonderment. A learning environment that cultivates joy, learning, growing and creative thinking skills.
Wonderment is basically the idea of combining process art & informal education. It's more than just process art, it's practicing curiosity, seeing things from different perspectives, connecting ideas and history, using nature to observe and find beauty and learning how others think and act creatively.
This site is for Educators, Art Studio Owners, Artists, Parents or anyone interested in cultivating the next generation of creative thinkers. I hope you'll join me.
